I hope everyone stayed safe with their families during the hurricane. I also hope everyone has had a wonderful summer filled with lots of love, joy, growth, and fulfillment. It has been an extremely transformative and beautiful summer for me, filled with many new projects and life changes.
Over the past few months, I have really invested my time into growing my business, Mat Matterz. Specifically, cultivating a stronger, more active, and more authentic online presence. I am grateful for the social media platform I have, it has given me the ability to share what has been life changing for me. Even though, at times, it’s challenging to be vulnerable on the internet, the virtual community that I have built has been so receptive to my content. It’s made me realize that we are all united in what we feel and what we struggle with. At the end of the day, we are all going through something. Just one authentic post or quote can make someone feel less alone and less afraid.
Alongside growing my social media platforms, I have also dedicated my time to deepening my spiritual practices and spirituality in general. Gabby Bernstein, one of the greatest spiritual teachers of all time (I’m a little biased), has been my mentor and inspiration ever since I can remember. When I first started teaching, I always wanted to talk about spirituality and the “real stuff” in my yoga classes, but didn’t know how to and was too afraid. She was the first one who showed me that it was okay to be vulnerable and open, and that it was okay to talk about what actually matters. For years I wanted to take her Spirit Junkie Master Class, an online course dedicated to helping people transform their lives and businesses... and this summer I finally did it! It has been one of the most enriching and life changing experiences. I have gained so much valuable knowledge and have used so many resources she offered to help navigate my life. It has helped me elevate, expand, and grow on all levels, personally and professionally.
One of the most important things I learned from Gabby is that having a tapping practice is SO amazing! You simply stimulate certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with your fingers. It’s great to do before your meditation and journaling practice. I highly recommend reading some of Gabby Bernstein’s books or taking her online courses as they have been extremely transformative and helpful for me. I look forward to continue sharing everything that I have learned from this class. If there is something that you have been wanting to do for ages, here is your sign to go and do it. Commit to it and commit to yourself. It’s so worth it!
One of the most exciting events of the summer was the lululemon ambassador on-boarding event that took place in Miami. It was a day to celebrate all incoming ambassadors and really learn about the fundamental ideas that lululemon was built upon: spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical growth. I am so honored to have been an ambassador for a year and so excited to continue being apart of the lululemon family for the next two years. It’s such a privilege to be around kind, ambitious, and hardworking people who are dedicated to living their life with intention and purpose. It’s also such a privilege to promote a brand that, at its core, values and places an emphasis on some of the most important parts of life: joy, fulfillment, health, growth, and fun.
Another project that I started working on this summer was my Amazon Influencer page. It’s a space in which I can list all of my favorite products (ranging from yoga/fitness products, health/wellness products, beauty/skincare products, spiritual products, home decor, books, etc.) available for you to purchase. You can easily access it here: https://www.amazon.com/shop/matmatterz or in my Instagram bio. Some of these items have really changed my life and have helped me in so many ways (especially the books), so being able to share that with you all is so important to me. I hope that you find as much value in them as I have.
The very last thing I have worked on is my new website... so excited to launch it in the next month!
I hope you all have had a wonderful summer and I wish you lots of love & joy in the upcoming months. This newsletter will be updated more frequently from now on, so stay tuned! You can also follow me on Instagram @matmatterz and on Facebook at Mary Ann Morgan-Fried.
Sending you the biggest hugs!
