Dear <<First Name>>,

I read this from Kino MacGregor a few days ago, and just had to share it with you: What does it mean to be a Yogi? It’s one thing to take a class, and another to commit to yourself to the spiritual path. What defines a Yogi is not the clothes they wear or the asanas (poses). The most important pose is the seat of meditation. What defines a Yogi is the sincere desire in your heart to find true, lasting peace.

I knew in my heart I wanted to teach yoga, but I didn’t know how it was going to happen. I was in and out of yoga for so many years, but finally in 2010 I decided that my intention was to live and breathe yoga! For my birthday that year, I signed up for my first Yoga Teacher Training, and it was life changing. Then in 2012, I began a 300 Hour Teacher Training course which I completed in 2013. I’ve been incredibly blessed to teach yoga to so many amazing souls for seven years now! Seeing my students' and teachers' transformations on and off the mat has been so inspiring!

My journey as a student has been equally fulfilling. Over the last seven months on Thursday nights my beautiful friend, teacher and mentor, Juli Kagan, has hosted study groups where we continue to learn about yoga. Each session left me feeling more inspired about yoga as a student and a teacher. So motivated, I recently signed up for another 300 Hour Teacher Training with Judy Weaver and James Kigar at Yoga South!

I am BEYOND excited to continue this Yogi journey with all of you!

Namaste,
Mary Ann

"Life can be difficult, always unpredictable, and sometimes confusing. We have no control over anything that happens in the outer world, and our happiness and success lies in understanding this completely. Once we "get it" that we have 100% control over how we will respond, our lives are forever changed."

Camp Yoga Florida was AMAZING!!!

THANK YOU lululemon Boca Raton, Chesley Long & Camp Yoga!

Camp Yoga was an incredible weekend of Yoga, Fitness, High Ropes Courses, Archery, Inspiration and so much more! I was so honored to be part of it representing lululemon Boca Raton, and to meet so many beautiful souls. I encourage everyone to experience this incredible adventure!

Chesley Long, founder of Camp Yoga, gave lululemon ambassadors a platform to get out of our comfort zones and present something we've never done! I went with “Trust Your Gut,” where the REAL work begins on and off the mat!

I loved spending time with fellow lululemon ambassadors like Ernest Wiggins. He's the founder of Atlas Speed and trains 500+ athletes globally! The NCAA Hall of Fame Inductee was a 100m sprinter at Appalachian State University, and 4x100m relay member on Team USA and competed in 35 countries!

Camp Yoga has 9 EPIC locations in the US and Canada... Check it out at www.campyoga.ca!
So great to meet Chesley Long, founder of Camp Yoga!
Ernest Wiggins, founder of Atlas Speed & lululemon ambassador.
Teaching yoga outdoors in such a gorgeous setting was a treat!
So happy to have my beautiful friend Kim Terrinoni at Camp Yoga!
Featured Pose
Camel Pose (Ustrasana) opens the heart center, promoting a powerful healing release of emotions. Stand on your knees, with knees hip-width apart (you may want to double your mat underneath for extra padding). Bring your hands to your lower back with fingers pointing down, thumbs into your sacrum. Wrap your elbows toward each other. Inhale, chest up, and gently release your head back. Soften your face, set your eyes to a spot behind you. Scoop your tailbone under and pull the front of your pelvis upward. Drop your shoulders down the back. If this feels too intense on your lower back, curl your toes under and stand on the balls of your feet.

Inspiration
With practice over time, noticeable changes occur with our mind, thoughts, and body, stretching us forward in all areas of our life. We learn what truly matters to us, on and off the mat, and we must take that wisdom into our lives.
