This month I encourage you to have a heart-to-heart with yourself, and ask, “What is truly important to me? Am I making those things a priority in my life?” When you ask – and are honest with yourself – your heart knows what really matters and will tell you if you’re living authentically, or not.
Once you take steps to honor what’s in your heart, you become an active participant in your life and not just a witness, which truly sets you on the road to personal freedom and independence.

This is an extremely effective hip opener, perfect for tight hips and also helps with sciatica!
Start on all fours with your hands directly below your shoulders and knees below your hips.
Bring your right knee forward until it touches your wrist, keep your right thigh parallel to the sides of the mat.
Slowly inch your shin and foot forward the midline of your body until the foot is directly below your left hip.
Now straighten your left leg.
Walk your hands directly below your shoulders keeping hips as level as possible to get the full effects of the pose. (If you’re not able to lower hips evenly sit on a folded blanket or block before starting pose.)
Walk your hands forward.
Inhale deeply as you lengthen your torso and exhale as you forward fold.
It’s important that you’re peeling away layers of tension rather than stressing any joints. Once you have completed one side for 5 breaths switch sides and hold for 5 breaths. There are modifications for this pose, contact me if you need them!
