Balance comes from slowing down... From taking deep breaths, and from understanding our body and what it needs. With time, you’ll notice changes within the body, the mind and the breath. Yoga is a space where, with practice, we can become more mindful. The deeper we go in our practice, the more natural it will be to take the Yoga off the mat and into our lives!

EVOLUTION YOGA Tuesdays, 6:15-7:30pm; Saturdays, 9:15-10:30am & 10:45am-12:00pm (Yin)
Camel Pose (Ustrasana) opens the heart center, promoting a powerful healing release of emotions. Stand on your knees, with knees hip-width apart (you may want to double your mat underneath for extra padding). Bring your hands to your lower back with fingers pointing down, thumbs into your sacrum. Wrap your elbows toward each other. Inhale, chest up, and gently release your head back. Soften your face, set your eyes to a spot behind you. Scoop your tailbone under and pull the front of your pelvis upward. Drop your shoulders down the back. If this feels too intense on your lower back, curl your toes under and stand on the balls of your feet.
