Mindful Musings for April, 2017

Dear Friends,

Every practice we all work on healing, releasing and balance. Even if we don't understand all. Sooner or later your life will align with your heart's desire to soar from a place that is truth, freedom and love. Keep practicing, and over time you will know yourself better, treat yourself better, and achieve good health. May you continue to have the COURAGE to let go of limited beliefs, even if it feels unfamiliar!

Om Shanti,
Mary Ann
April Class Schedule
YOGA JOURNEY Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:15-10:30am
CRUNCH PARKLAND Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm & Saturdays, 9:00-10:00am
Featured Pose - Tadasana
Stand at the front of the mat in Tadasana with your hands at the heart in prayer. Place your feet hip distance apart. Close your eyes and shift your weight slightly forward and slightly back to the left and to the right. Really feel where the weight is distributed over and between your feet. We rely greatly on our eyes for balance but releasing the sight is a valuable lesson as balance is primarily about feeling in your body. Give yourself room to feel, yoga is not a perfect practice!
Morning Meditation
Sit quietly for five minutes a day, and focus on your breath. When inhaling mentally say, "I am" and on the exhale, "Peaceful." If your mind drifts don't worry about it. Simply refocus and concentrate on your breathing, again repeating, "I am" on the inhale and "Peaceful" on the exhale. Gradually extend five minutes to 10, then to 15.
