Issue #31  |  Free Money, Earth Day and more!
Greetings Worthies, here's the news you need to know this month.
Boost Your Nest Egg with Worthy-Free Bonds!
Spring is finally upon us! For most of us, that means the beginning of warmer weather and vacations. However, Spring can also be a symbol of new beginnings.  So if you haven't already, now would be a great time to begin to build your nest egg and we at Worthy want to help!  Today through the end of April, we are offering free bonds on new deposits of $1,000 and up!

Free bonds equivalent to a 1% interest rate boost on any new deposits of $1,000 or more.*

For example:
Invest $1,000 and get one free $10 bond!
Invest $2,000 and get two free $10 bonds!
Invest $10,000 and get ten free $10 bonds!
And so on!

Now through April 30th, 2019, the more you invest, the more free bonds you earn! It’s like getting a 6% return on your money instead of our already generous 5%!

5 Inexpensive Ways To Help The Environment

This month also brings us one of our favorite holidays, Earth Day! Earth day is a simple reminder to be thankful for the beautiful planet that we all call home.  So in honor of Earth Day, here are 5 inexpensive ways to help the environment.

1. Try using less water! This simple tip actually saves you money in the long run. We know that shorter showers or waiting until the washing machine is full to run doesn't seem like it would make a big difference, but it really does!

2.  LED lightbulbs. Not only are they much brighter, but they're also up to 80% more efficient and typically not much more expensive than traditional lightbulbs.

3. Try thrifting! Buying a few garments second hand as opposed to "fast fashion" can really make a difference. And of course, you can buy more Worthy bonds with all the money you save!

4. Switch the constant consumption of disposable water bottles for a reusable one.  With something so simple, one person alone can save nearly 1,500 water bottles a year!

5. This last one is actually so inexpensive the only thing it'll cost you is your time. It's as simple as picking up trash that you find when you're out. Whether it's at the beach, at the park, or on your way to your car. Picking up those discarded items and properly disposing of them really will make a difference!
