Current Projects

Sherwood
The aim of this project is to study the mechanisms of the modulation of attentional orienting by reward reinforcement in brain-damaged patients suffering from neglect.This task will be also developed to assess neglect symptoms, as well as to help develop innovative cognitive rehabilitation, in a highly realistic, ecological, rich, multimodal, and controllable environment.

 
FEVR
Mixing VR and fMRI technics, this project investigates how the context of encounteers impacts emotional (happy, angry...) and social (trustworthiness, dominance...) judgments about faces. Focusing also on proxemics measures and personality assessments, the project will generate a novel framework to characterize the neural mechanisms underlying the emergence of social representations of others.

Events

Unity3D Tutorial

Researchers and Students interested to work on a project involving Virtual Reality should register for the next Unity3D tutorial. Due to the amount of work needed to create 3D content and to develop real-time simulations, it is required to have a practical knowledge of the 3D Game Engine used in the BBL-IS. Hardware

  • Graphics cards have been upgraded (nvidia Quadro 5000 => nvidia Quadro K5200): this will help to get better graphics quality.
  • All 3D glasses are now synchronized with Radio Frequency: no more interference with other infrared systems.
  • A dedicated computer for Biopac system with AcqKnowledge 4.2 has been setup in the BBL-IS.

Software

  • Application deployment and Crash reporting are now "single-click" procedures. The usability of the system will be constantly refined to be as user-friendly as possible.
  • A bug concerning unsynchronized Unity3D's animations between cluster nodes has been fixed.
