Three indie hackers talk about making money from their apps. (View in your browser)
Hey guys, Courtland here! Let me start with a friendly reminder not to buy Final Fantasy XV if you care at all about leading a productive life. 😝

On to the interviews! This week I added three new interviews to Indie Hackers:
All three interviews this week were really insightful. Jan from Planio was able to build an amazing $75k/mo business for himself off the back of an open-source tool in a very crowded market. Dave from Readability Score is the textbook indie hacker working to achieve financial and location independence. And I don't know if I've ever seen anyone create and test business hypotheses as well as Harry and Xiao have done at Hack Pacific.

Make sure to give these interviews a read! 👍

In other news, I came through and wrote my November Month in Review blog post! I was a few days late, but they say slow and steady wins the race. 🐢
I tried to share all sorts of great stats, including how much time I spent working (which you can see above) and how that time broke down across various categories like interviews, podcast, social media, marketing, etc. And, of course, I shared my revenue and traffic stats too. Check it out and leave me some feedback in the comments!

By the way, I'm figuring out this podcast stuff slowly but surely, so thanks for patiently waiting! I want to launch with 3 or 4 episodes, so it might be a little while, but it's already shaping up to be a big chunk of what I'm working on this month. 😇

Also, I'm happy to say that the forum is doing awesome! There are great discussions going on there every day, and I've got lots of ideas in the works for making it an amazing place for founders (and aspiring founders) to help each other out. Here's what happened this week:
  • Idea Validation Strategy (by tms19)
You've got a few ideas, but how do you evaluate whether they're any good? How do you avoid wasting valuable time and money? Find out, or share your thoughts!
  • Ideas Thread: December Edition (by sladix)
Someone beat me to the punch and posted this month's ideas thread. Share what you're working on, get feedback from other founders, or get help finding an idea! 👌
  • Introduce Yourself! December Edition (by yours truly)
If you've got something to share or you just want to say hi, this is a great place to meet other founders in the community!
  • Circles: NPS for SaaS Companies (by terencepua)
Check out Terence's new product and give him some feedback!
Finally, one of the goals in my month-in-review post for December is to talk to ten potential sponsors. So far I'm at three! If you or someone you know has a product/service that's useful for developers or entrepreneurs, get in touch!

That's it for this week. As always, thanks for your love and support everyone! I hope to hear from you on the forum soon!

❤️,
Courtland (@csallen)
