10th Annual Capitol Hill Holiday Tree Lighting
Saturday, November 26 @ 5:30pm
NE Quadrant of Eastern Market Metro Plaza
(8th St. SE and Pennsylvania Ave. SE)
Join us THIS SATURDAY (November 26) for the 10th Annual Capitol Hill Holiday Tree Lighting! Our "Men in Blue" will serve hot chocolate and doughnuts while Joyous Voices, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop's Suzuki Strings and the Washington Youth Choir perform your favorite holiday songs.
Councilmembers Elissa Silverman and Charles Allen will be in attendance, and Kathy Didden will flip the switch to illuminate the tree that was planted to honor her late husband, George Didden, for his many contributions to the Capitol Hill Community.
The BID will also be giving away commemorative ornaments for your own tree in honor of the 10th Anniversary of the Tree Lighting. We hope to see you there!
This year’s event promises to be fabulous with live music from the Herb Scott Jazz Quartet, an open bar, delicious food from top local restaurants including Belga Cafe, Trattoria Alberto, District Doughnut and Shake Shack, a dazzling silent auction and an inspirational video presentation.
All funds raised from the event go directly to providing supportive services for the "Men in Blue" that help them to become productive members of society.
