Join the BID, the Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL) and Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) tomorrow (Thursday) at noon as we debut the winning designs from our 2016 Banner Contest! The celebration will be held at the Eastern Market Metro Plaza.
Enjoy light refreshments and meet the local artists who captured the beauty of Capitol Hill and all it has to offer.
The winning designs will be hung on over 100 light poles throughout the neighborhood for all to enjoy. Hope to see you there!
Be sure to keep an eye out for your proxy ballots! The ballots, along with the Annual Meeting announcement flyer, were mailed to BID Members (Property Owners and Tenants) this week. Please take action even if you won't be attending: In order to hold the membership meeting, we need your signed ballots. Please complete every one of your ballots and mail, fax or email back to the BID.
Our 2017 Annual Membership Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 28 at 8:00AM at Hill Center (921 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE). The meeting will include a breakfast buffet.
The Annual Meeting allows all BID Members to elect new members of the Board of Directors or reelect those whose terms have expired.

Attention, BID members! The video for our upcoming 5-year BID Renewal is currently in production, and we want your input. If you'd like to share how the BID has positively impacted your business and Capitol Hill, we want to hear from you!
A little bit of background about the BID Renewal Process: The city law establishing Business Improvement Districts requires all BIDs to renew every five years by submitting a business plan and participating in a hearing before the DC Council. The Capitol Hill BID is renewing for the third time. The renewal allows us to continue the safety and hospitality, maintenance and beautification, transportation, homeless services and marketing programs that the BID currently provides and add new programs as determined by the BID Board.
If you would like to be interviewed for the upcoming BID Renewal video, please contact Patty Brosmer at 202-842-3333 ext. 11 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Filming will take place over the next 2-3 weeks.
