Quilts of Valor.

I was contacted by a friend in another district who is a member of Quilts of Valor.  She asked if we would want to honor our veterans that are in our district.  Well, of course I would! As a matter of fact, I am so honored that she considered doing this for our district.

She has requested the following information and I will leave it up to you to email me back with the information so that I may comprise a list for her.  I am trusting that you know your unit leaders better than I do.  There are many of you that I am aware of veterans and I will need your personal information as well.  I am only sending this to Scoutmasters and Cubmasters as this should be a surprise for everyone else.

The key is to receive this though, they need to be willing to come to our March 2017 Roundtable as they will be presented there.  This is also going out to GruMa, and I know that it is hard for you to make it to Ft. Oglethorpe on a week night, but we would be so honored to have you come if you can.  Unfortunately, this is not something that I can divide up as we usually do.

Specifically, I know that both Scott Thompson and Laromie Boyd are both I hope you both can attend.

Information that is needed:
Name of Veteran
Phone Number
Branch of Service
Which war they fought in....
     World War II
     Latin America
     or other.

Please email me back with this information as soon as you can get it so they know how many quilts to make.

Thank you for everything that you do for scouting!

Barbara Edwards
