Your team for April TR Tuesday

Benjamin Erin
Benjamin is the Station Manager of 8CCC Community Radio in Alice Springs. A graduate of AFTRS Radio Program and Content Directors Course and current Diploma of Business Governance Student through the Institute of Community Directors, Benjamin approaches the management of 8CCC as a creative project- a collaborative mix of both art and science - technology, systems and human relationships. As presenter of 'Look Out- New Music Horizon' Benjamin interviews local musicians and sound artists, exploring song writing, recording, production, performance and artistic collaboration in Central Australia and the Barkly.

Stephen Stockwell
Stephen Stockwell is the Station Manager of 4ZZZ Community Radio in Brisbane. Stephen first got involved with 4ZZZ in 2007 when he was studying journalism at university, volunteering in the newsroom & hosting Brisbane Line whilst also pitching in on various station projects, notably helping set up Zed Digital in 2010. From there he left Zed for the ABC and has spent the last 10 years working as a rural reporter in Western Australia, a reporter & sometimes host of Triple J's Hack, as well as their daily news podcast the Signal.
Stephen has a wealth of broadcasting experience, knowledge of programming & news as well as a zeal for 4ZZZ & community radio that never left him despite a decade at the ABC.

Cyber Threat Webinar Coming on 11 May 2021

Heads-up from John Maizels: Cyber Threat webinar coming on 11 May:

The Nine Network cyber crypto attack has highlighted the need for better IT vigilance, and it's pretty obvious in discussion that the community sector is poorly prepared.  The word "prepared" might be an overstatement.  Nine Sydney (and it's largely Sydney TV that is impacted) has all the resources of TV, radio and print empires and is still down.  They might not be back to normal for 3-5 ***MONTHS***.  It's not too hard to imagine how a small community station might be wiped out if an attack like that happened and there was no recovery plan in place, and insufficient people to man the pumps.

Some finer print
