Hey Friend!

Happy Fall!! Although summer is my favorite, I enjoy the change of seasons. Here in NJ the mornings have been cooler and we actually have 2 pumpkins in the garden ripening on the vine! Yay!

But how is this change of season affecting your physical, emotional or energetic state of being?

From an Ayurvedic standpoint we are getting close to Vata season (really later Fall). A time of windiness in the atmosphere as well as our minds. More anxieties may pop up or you may quicken your pace to keep up with all of your activities. 

Actually, slowing down will give you more mental, physical and emotional well being! This is a good time to really care for yourself. As Ayurvedic teacher Ali Cramer says, treat yourself like a baby!

Eat warm soothing foods, soups are great! Get earthly! Take a walk in the park or the woods! Move a little slower and low to the earth in your yoga practice. Get some forward bends in as you honor your unique magical path on this earth.

In yoga class tonight and Saturday, we will awaken our legs and hips and then bring in some nourishing restorative poses leading to a delicious śavasana to give you time to care for all parts of you.

Announcement! We have changed the start date for Sutra Seeds 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training to October 21st and we are having an in-person or Zoom info session this coming Tuesday, September 27th at 7PM at Satsang Yoga Studio in Westfield, NJ.
