I have been seeing some fears creeping into my evenings as our Fall schedules have been ironing out in our family. We have to get up much earlier so the adjustment is taking some time. Are you with me in this struggle?:)
Maybe it's also the change of seasons as well but I am having a harder time falling asleep as all of the little and big worries begin to take center stage in my mind. Ahhhh! Calgon take me away! - Dating myself...
Hafiz through Daniel Ladinsky's The Gift puts it this way:
"Fear is the cheapest room in the house. I would like to see you living in better conditions."
Eventually, my practices of deep breathing with extended exhale, body scans and mantra ease my worries and ease me into sleep...try them they can work!
The feeling that I was having was one of isolation in which I have to fix all of these things or the world is coming to an end.
The opposite of isolation is relationship!
Last Saturday, I basked all day in retreat using sound through mantra and music. The theme for the day was relationship and specifically relationship with our deepest source.
Do you actually feel this connection? When and how does it happen and how can you encourage this relationship?
One way is to be present and then ask for the connection. Humbly ask to see and be seen.
Quick ritual for relationship!
One hand on heart one on belly feel your breath and deepen it as you clear the path internally.
Now put both hands over your heart.
Ask your question to highest source. Ask to have time with this presence like it's a person.
Chant your favorite mantra.
Sit, feel and listen.
And then meet me on your mat online this week tonight and Saturday! We will use everything in our yoga toolbox to experience relationship and shift through fear! Click link below.
