2017 Student Incubator Venture Challenge


The 6th Annual Venture Challenge will showcase LSU’s brightest student entrepreneurs and provide their businesses with access to the capital and resources needed to achieve long-term success, as well as cash rewards.

The Venture Challenge is looking to support new, independent student ventures in the early growth stage. The startup venture must be a current member of the LSU Student Incubator as of April 7, 2017. All LSU students are encouraged to join and participate in the Venture Challenge, it is a big perk of membership. No idea is too early stage—Apply at www.studentincubator.lsu.edu

Conscious Venture Lab BootCamp


The Conscious Capitalism BootCamp, powered by Conscious, is geared to help jumpstart a new form of economic development in North Baton Rouge. The BootCamp is an intense daylong workshop where entrepreneurial teams will work with the staff and partners of the Conscious Venture Lab and discover new tools for your company to gain a deeper community impact and higher profitability with a chance to win $10,000 prize in a final pitch competition. The BootCamp is taking place May 1st, starting at 9:00 am. Alzheimer's Research Grant Opportunity


Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation and Harrington Discovery Institute are pleased to announce the request for proposals for the 2017 ADDF-Harrington Scholar Award, which supports research efforts that seek to prevent, treat or cure Alzheimer's disease, related dementias and cognitive aging.

Applicants have the opportunity to qualify for up to $700,000 in funding over two years and drug development and project management support through the Harrington Discovery Institute's Innovation Support Center. NSF I-Corp Opportunities

The Rutgers University Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development's (CUEED) Pipeline to Inclusive Innovation (PII) Initiative aims to increase the number of under-represented inventors, scientists and technology-focused Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) engaged in federally-funded innovation and technology programs.

CUEED PII will host a Technology Entrepreneurship & Commercialization Boot Camp at Rutgers Business School in Newark, New Jersey from May 23-25, 2017. Applications are being accepted until April 20, 2017. Click here to apply and for more information on what all this program has to offer.
The I-Corps Bio-entrepreneurship workshop is taking place Monday, June 19th to Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in San Diego, Ca. The workshop will run in parallel to the Biotechnology International Convention (BIO 2017), one of the world’s largest gatherings of biotechnology industry professionals. Participants will work with industry professionals to learn about biotechnology commercialization, grow professional networks, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities that build on basic research. All participants will also gain free access to the BIO 2017 exhibition.

NASA released its 2017-2018 software catalog, which offers an extensive portfolio of software products for a wide variety of technical applications including data processing/storage, business systems, operations, propulsion and aeronautics, and many more. All software is free of charge to the public without any royalty or copyright fees.
