From showcasing LSU's state-of-the-art technologies and research to highlighting upcoming events and programs, each issue is another way for our office to serve the community through constant innovation.

Innovation & Commercialization Workshop

There will be an all-day patent and trademark workshop featuring the USPTO on November 1st at the Lod Cook Conference Center. The Department of the Navy Office of Small Business Programs as well as the Louisiana Technology Transfer Office will also be there to discuss various research and commercialization topics that will be useful for any small business and entrepreneur! NSF Webinar Series:
Small Business Innovation Research

The NSF Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small business Technology Transfer (STTR) program is accepting innovative proposals for research that shows a promise of commercial and societal impact. If you are interested in participating, please let us know and we can discuss further how this program works. Several people in our office serve as SBIR/STTR panel reviewers and we have seen what constitutes a winning proposal. NSF Introduction to I-Corps Webinars

Following the success of our first NSF I-Corps Workshop, we are excited to begin another round in the spring. Stay tuned for more information to come!

LSU has recently joined Eli Lilly's Open Innovation Drug Discovery (OIDD) program. OIDD is a premier collaborative platform that gives researchers the same tools and expertise available to Eli Lilly's own scientist. Molecular design tools, in vitro screening modules, detailed  compound identification, and access to remote automated synthesis laboratory are just a few of the benefits.
