RING 000 TO REPORT A FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCY
Bushfire Warning Levels
During a bushfire, DFES under instructions from the Shire or the Parks and Wildlife issue community alerts and warnings for bushfires that  threaten lives and property. They are issued once firefighters have arrived at the scene and determine that there is a threat or potential threat to the community.
Understanding the Bushfire Warning System is extremely important in helping you and your family to stay alert and informed when a bushfire starts.
The Bushfire Warning System operates using four levels of warnings.

These levels change to reflect the increasing risk to your life or property and decreasing amount of time before the fire arrives.
Know the warnings and stay alert when a bushfire starts.  Do not wait and see what happens, this could be deadly.
For more information about Bushfire Warnings:
Or contact the local Community Emergency Services Manager - Cindy Pearce on 0417 071 567.

NEW TO KATANNING LEISURE CENTRE, LES MILL’S RPM
What is RPM?

RPM is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact and you can burn up to 675 calories a session*.
With great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly spin the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness.
RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw on the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race!

BOOKINGS WILL BE ESSENTIAL – 10 PLACES AVAILABLE EACH SESSION – COST = $11.50/CASUAL VISIT OR BECOME A GOLD MEMBER – CONTACT KLC STAFF ON 9821 4399 FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

Talking about: All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld

Jake Whyte is living on her own in an old farmhouse on a craggy British island, a place of ceaseless rains and battering winds. Her disobedient collie, Dog, and a flock of sheep are her sole companions, which is how she wanted it to be. But every few nights something—or someone—picks off one of the sheep and sets off a new deep pulse of terror. There are foxes in the woods, a strange boy and a strange man, rumours of an obscure, formidable beast. But there is also Jake's past—hidden thousands of miles away and years ago, held in the silences about her family and the scars that stripe her back—a past that threatens to break into the present.
With exceptional artistry and empathy, All the Birds, Singing reveals an isolated life in all its struggles and stubborn hopes, unexpected beauty, and hard-won redemption.
