The SSC to hold annual Fall Retreat, First Meeting.
The Student Sustainability Council (SSC) meets on a monthly basis to review proposals and allocate the Environmental Stewardship Fee, a $4.00 fee paid by every UK student each semester. The fund totals around $190,000 for the school year, and anyone from the University of Kentucky community can submit a proposal. The Council has funded proposals from $150 to $50,000 and strives to represent a diverse range of projects from as many parts of campus as possible.
Proposals will be reviewed during the first meeting of the year which will happen in conjunction with the annual Fall Retreat on August 19th. The deadline to be considered for this meeting is Saturday, August 12th.
If you've ever had an idea to make campus more sustainable, the SSC can help make it happen! Download the application from their website or email them at UKStudentSustainabilityCouncil@gmail.com for more information on how to apply.
