TV TALK SHOWS ON ENDING EXTREME POVERTY


Given its mandate to ensure the needs of the extreme poor are met in policy and practice, EEP/Shiree is always looking for ways to promote discussions in the public sphere on the eradication of Extreme Poverty.

EEP/Shiree's latest initiative is to sponsor RTV to show five TV programmes about ending extreme poverty.

RTV will broadcast the first episode at 10:10 am on 6 August 2016

There will be four further episodes each Saturday at 10:10 am till 3 September 2016
The RTV series is called:

An Extreme Poverty Free Bangladesh: Challenges and Possibilities
  • TheTalk Shows are anchored by Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, EEP/Shiree’s Head of Research and Advocacy. 
  • Discussants are eminent Bangladeshi policy-makers and thought leaders – see list below.
  • The final episode has an interview with Professor Shamsul Alam, Senior Secretary and Member (Planning).
