Planning for the biggest event of the Holly Hedge calendar is underway and there are lots of opportunities to get involved.
The Holly Hedge Fun Day will once again be held in the idyllic grounds of Ashton Court Estate so please come and join us for a day filled with family fun!

Fun Day 2017 is expected to attract up to 5,000 people and their dogs to the site at Ashton Court, if you are a business then each one is a potential new customer for you!

There are extensive attractions that run on the day including our popular Fun Dog Show, Photo Entry Cat Show, Doggie Sprint, children’s activities, Holly Hedge Doggie Games, refreshments and agility demonstrations (with the chance to have a go yourself) – not to mention our ever popular market place which is brimming with everything from fine foods to beautiful art works.

Having a stand at our Fun Day is an excellent way of selling your
products, building relationships with the public, enhancing your reputation and your company image, intensifying brand awareness amongst key audiences and ensuring great exposure throughout the day – not to mention helping to support our vital work caring for animals in need.

With such an extensive array of attractions, Fun Day is an event like no other and draws a diverse crowd from Bristol, Somerset and the surrounding areas.

We are currently raising money towards the cost of our ever increasing veterinary bills. We need to raise over £90,000 over the year to meet these costs so that we can continue to provide the necessary medical care needed for our poor animals. If each day over the next 12 months 25 people gave £10 , we would reach our target so please donate at our new Localgiving page
Socks was sadly handed in to a vet after not getting on with another dog in the home. Although he will need some socialisation work as he is wary of other dogs, he is super friendly with people and loves attention. Socks just loves to be close to you and have cuddles! Socks does seem sad when he gets left on his own, so someone that is home most of the time would be best for him. He has no history with children but we feel he would like teenagers or perhaps an adults only home, although they would need to be confident with larger dogs.
If you would like to find out more about Socks then please contact us today!
Beautiful Astra sadly came back to us because she wasn’t getting on with the neighbouring cats. Poor thing is feeling a bit low at the moment, but story times, treats and some calm company is really cheering her up again. We think Astra would like a nice quiet home where she can relax and enjoy herself with your company.
If you would like to find out more about this lovely feline then please contact us today!

Have you or someone you know ever fancied finding out more about animal care by having a hands on experience with a dedicated and professional animal care team? Talks with Rosie - Part 3: Canine Separation Related Behaviours

Join us on 8th May for a talk about canine separation related behaviours. "Separation anxiety" is one of the most common phrases used by owners to describe a dog that exhibits unwanted behaviour when the owner leaves home or just leaves the room - but this isn’t always the case. Rosie will be looking at separation related problems in dogs and the different potential causes of unwanted behaviour when dogs are left alone.
Brought to you by our lovely behaviorist Rosie, tickets are £5 and all monies collected will be donated to Holly Hedge.
You can book your place by emailing us or you can book online via the following link.
