Waniya Locke is from the Ahtna Dene, Dakota, Lakota and Anishinaabe tribes. Ms. Locke is an activist, a mother of three beautiful children, and a former Lakota Language teacher ("Language is the foundation of any people, it makes us unique and true to our Identity”). She currently resides on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.

Montgomery Brown is from Wakpala, SD located on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. He is an activist for Indigenous and environmental issues. His work with youth helped to raise awareness for the resistance against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The youth group he helps support, ran 2,000 miles on foot from Cannonball, ND to Washington, DC to carry a petition of 140,000 signatures to the Army Corps of Engineers headquarters, Currently, he is a full time student at Sitting Bull College pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice while advocating for awareness on tribal sovereignty and at risk youth.
