In The News: Gifts of Grain

KCRG-TV9 did an excellent piece on how eastern Iowa farms are giving a unique gift to charity...grain! It's part of a program that gives farmers tax deductions if they donate a part of their crops to non-profit organizations. (I've also written on this subject before; give the blog post a read.)

Can my wife disinherit me?

Can Monica, my wife, disinherit me? In a word, no. Assuming a valid marriage in Iowa, a spouse cannot disinherit a spouse. Even if a spouse wants to do so. Even if that's the spouse's true intent...nope.
