NDA Elects Tisha Black, Esq. as New President & Re-Elects John A. Ritter to Board Seat

During the Association's January meeting, the members present voted to elect Tisha Black, Esq. to serve as the NDA's president. Active in Nevada’s medical marijuana program since its inception, Black is a real estate and corporate lawyer licensed to practice in Nevada since 1996. She is the founding partner of Black & LoBello and has been an active participant in industry regulation and operations.

John A. Ritter was re-elected to his board seat during the vote. Ritter is the Chairman of Focus Property Group. He is actively involved in the real estate industry, charitable ventures, and also serves on the board of The Grove.

NDA's Secretary, David Goldwater is a native Las Vegan, a part-owner of Inyo Fine Cannabis Dispensary, and a former assemblyman representing District 10.

Ben Sillitoe is the co-founder and chief executive officer of both Oasis Medical marijuana dispensary and Serenity Wellness. He serves as the NDA’s Treasurer.

Brett Scolari, Esq. is a valued leader and integral voice on NDA’s board. Scolari previously practiced law at Gordon Silver and Jones Vargas.

Executive Director Riana Durrett, Esq. coordinates legislative/policy agendas, community outreach, and responds to issues affecting Nevada dispensaries on behalf of NDA.

The rest of the NDA board and leadership will continue their work advocating on behalf of industry stakeholders. 

NDA Thanks Outgoing President Andrew Jolley for His Guidance and Support

During the January meeting, the Nevada Dispensary Association thanked outgoing president Andrew Jolley for his valuable service. NDA Secretary David Goldwater, Executive Director Riana Durrett, Esq., and newly-elected President Tisha Black, Esq. highlighted Jolley's leadership and expressed gratitude for the time and effort he has devoted to building a safe, regulated cannabis industry in Nevada.

NDA Executive Director Riana Durrett, Esq. and RCG Economics Principal John Restrepo are scheduled to speak at the Assembly Judiciary "State of Marijuana" hearing on February 21. Other speakers include:

  • Dr. Pejman Bady (discussing medical marijuana treatment)
  • GB Sciences and Friends for Parkinsons (discussing medical marijuana research trials)
