NDA Announces 2019 Government Affairs Team

Riana Durrett, Esq.
Alisa Nave-Worth
In addition to Riana Durrett, Esq.'s full-time presence in Carson City, the NDA Board selected Alisa Nave-Worth, Director of Government Affairs at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, to assist in achieving NDA's legislative goals this session. Nave-Worth, a native Nevadan, has more than a decade of legal, political, and public policy experience. Previously, Nave-Worth served as the Executive Director of the Nevada Senate Democrats and was the Southern Nevada Political Director for Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Nevada Presidential Caucus.

Legislative Activities

Executive Director Riana Durrett, Esq. continues to meet with legislators, regulators, and stakeholders on behalf of NDA to further express the messages shared in NDA's policy forum (Summer 2018) and Economic Impact symposium (Fall 2018) on behalf of Nevada's marijuana industry. Durrett recently met with the Senate Assistant Majority Leader and is scheduled to meet with Senator Dallas Harris, who has sponsored legislation to allow counties to impose a sales tax on marijuana.

With the session quickly approaching, NDA's meetings, tours offered to legislators, and stakeholder outreach are cornerstones of NDA's efforts to prepare and lay the groundwork for the legislative session.
