On a November morning last year my fourth grandchild Orin, was born!  On the same day I received a mailing from DORSET WILDLIFE TRUST about the alarming decline in hedgerows, and thus the wildlife they support.
It struck me forcibly that I wanted this new baby – my other grandchildren, and yours – all our grandchildren to live in a world where hedgerows and the wildlife they support, are still here.. are still the norm, not something unusual.
Above is our garden hedge being treated by David, our local, expert craftsman.
My boys grew up in the fields and woods around our house, dammed streams and builttree houses – they still visit those places – now with their children, and my oldest Grandson Reuben has raided £300 for ‘Save the rhino’ by doing a local walk up Melbury, the hill in my painting…..
I feel passionately about this – I know there are so many other issues in the world, Brexit, Donna T Rump!!! the plight of refugees, the NHS,…. It is all quite overwhelming and depressing ….
ere is an opportunity to  do something positive and long lasting - donate to a very good cause and have the chance to win this painting of mine, which has been beautifully framed by Dorset framer, Hope Elletson at
