Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 3rd April, 6.30pm, at the usual place, St Charles' Church Hall, 1 Kelvinside Gardens, G20 6BG. Our meetings are open to all residents. Please come along if you would like to find out more about the council or how you can get involved. We would love to meet you!
Whether you're a driver or a pedestrian you'll be aware of the pressure on parking in this area. Please have a look at our new web page dedicated to parking and let us know your views. You can leave a comment on the website or send an email to
We are still getting reports of cars being vandalised by young bikers. Please report anything suspicious to the police on 101, or call 999 if a crime is in the process of being committed. In the absence of CCTV, the police tell us that they need descriptions of those responsible. Happily the number of housebreakings has gone down from 9 in January to 0 in February.
Another issue that we regularly come across is the licensing of HMOs, or houses in multiple occupation: in our area this is usually a flat shared by three or more unrelated persons from three or more different families, with shared sanitary and cooking facilities. If you have views on the licensing of HMOs, particularly with regard to the development of future policy on overprovision and on the relationship between licensing and planning policy, please respond to the City Council's current public consultation on HMOs. Details are on the Consultation Hub (click on "Current Consultations") of the City Council website. Closing date 18 May 2018.
