North Kelvin Community Council News

June 2017
Hello!

Our last meeting before the summer break is on Tuesday 20th June, 6.30pm, at the usual place, St Charles' Church Hall, 1 Kelvinside Gardens, G20 6BG. If there's anything you would like us to discuss at the meeting, please let us know or come along on the night. All residents are welcome to attend. There is no meeting in July but we are due to reconvene on Tuesday 15th August.

Over 100 people attended our meeting held with the Muchtoobig campaign and Ann Laird of Friends of Glasgow West about the controversial planning application for 127 Fergus Drive. Thanks to everyone who came along. We heard no voices in favour of the proposed development. The closing date for comments has been extended to 30 June, so there is still time to make an objection if you wish. See our website for more details and contact information.

Following a good-natured local campaign between several worthy candidates, Patrick Grady (SNP) has been re-elected as our MP. We look forward to working with Patrick on local matters of concern.

Finally, a reminder that the West End Festival is in full swing and our website has details of some of the events taking place in North Kelvin.

Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested. You can unsubscribe from our list at any time: see link at the bottom of the page.

Thank you for reading. Please get in touch with your comments and suggestions, or if there's anything you would like to see on a future meeting agenda.

Best wishes
