Our August meeting is almost upon us, earlier than previously announced. We have decided to change the meeting day to the 1st Tuesday to try to give us more time to respond to planning applications announced early in the month. So our next meeting will be on Tuesday 1st August, 6.30pm, at the usual place, St Charles' Church Hall, 1 Kelvinside Gardens, G20 6BG. If there's anything you would like us to discuss at the meeting, please let us know or come along on the night. All residents are welcome to attend.
Meeting dates for the rest of the year are 5 September, 3 October (plus AGM) and 7 November.
Meanwhile, the target date for a decision on the Fergus Drive development is 4 August. We watch and wait.
The Consultative Draft of the Glasgow Community Plan has been published and residents are encouraged to have their say on it. You can find out more and download the plan at our website.
If you're interested in local heritage, Maryhill Burgh Halls Trust is planning to establish the Maryhill Museum, and would love to hear from local people in the community and surrounding areas who would like to become museum ambassadors.
The first Glasgow Canal Festival took place last weekend just further along the canal from us. If you missed it, see this video for a flavour. It would be great to see a return next year (minus the rain).
Finally, a wee plug for the reporting of local news at Glasgow West End Today.
