Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 7th November, 6.30pm, at the usual place, St Charles' Church Hall, 1 Kelvinside Gardens, G20 6BG. This will be our last formal meeting of the year. We hope you can come along if there are any issues about our area you need to discuss.
There has been a worrying increase in break-ins and thefts recently. Please see the Police website for advice on how to keep your household and belongings secure. Thieves are often opportunists, so don't make life easy for them.
There are a couple of Scottish Government consultations open on public transport and ticketing. Click the links to give your views on local bus services and the future of smart ticketing in Scotland. Both consultations close on 5 December.
A review of UK parliamentary constituency boundaries is under way. It is proposed that the number of Glasgow MPs will be reduced to 6, and it looks from the map as though North Kelvin will fall within the proposed boundaries for the Glasgow North East constituency. You can find out more about what's in store for Glasgow by entering your postcode on the review website. The closing date to add you comments via the review website is 11 December.
We are still interested in hearing how alcohol licensing affects you, but we need to have your views by our November meeting at the latest. You can leave a comment on our blog, contact us on facebook, email us or come to Tuesday's meeting.
Finally, Maryhill Burgh Halls are helping us get back to nature with the launch of their new Maryhill Nature Trail. There will be a free family fun event on Saturday 25th November: see the event booking site for further details.
