We are celebrating dyslexia strengths by featuring our students’ creative t-shirt and poster designs. All proceeds from the sales of these items will benefit a local dyslexia organization.
Also, we are excited that the Wheaton Public Library and Winfield Public Library have book displays featuring donated books from The Written Word.
“He has dyslexia and has had to take a few extra lessons to help him learn to read. He is doing really well! He’s almost finished with his first chapter book! He’s grown to love books and stories and one day wants to be a librarian when he grows up.” (Squishmallows)

We donated books about dyslexia and learning to our local public libraries in Winfield and Wheaton. We would like to thank these libraries for their willingness and excitement to create book displays. If you are a student, parent, or educator please visit and check out a book about dyslexia and the science of reading.
“15-20% of the world’s children are dyslexic, yet most teachers haven’t been trained to identify, support, or effectively teach dyslexic kids to read. Teachers want to reach all the children in their care, but many just don’t know how.” (Nessy)
During Dyslexia Awareness Month in October, all proceeds from the sales of t-shirts, posters, and wristbands will be donated to theDYSLEXIA ACTION GROUP OF NAPERVILLE
