President, MSUA

Happy August 1st -- Rabbit, Rabbit!

Focus this week in on upcoming SATELLITE 2017 conference and exhibition as planning is now underway. As mentioned in last week's Mobility News, MSUA is the content partner for the Mobility Track which will take place Wednesday, March 8.  Other conference tracks scheduled that day include the government & military and ground segment & infrastructure.  As the mobility track content partner, MSUA will organize all programming, topics, and participants that will make up the sessions for that day.  There are two stages for you to get involved.

Stage 1.  Access Intelligence has put out a general call to all satellite technology experts, end-users, researchers, innovators and executive leaders who are interested in taking an active role in building the SATELLITE 2017 Conference and Exhibition program.  Proposals are to be submitted online by Monday, August 15. Proposals are welcome for all types of presentation format, including, but not limited to keynote speeches, debates, educational workshops, roundtable discussions, case study presentations, live demonstrations, interactive/social events and expo hall activities. And, new, creative and unique ideas are encouraged.  All submissions related to mobility will be channeled to MSUA for programming consideration.

Stage 2.  Following the initial review of mobility programming ideas, MSUA will put out a second call for proposals in September to MSUA members.  Like Access Intelligence, MSUA will also encourage proposals for new format and topic ideas.  Of particular interest to MSUA will be the inclusion of user perspectives, information and implications of new mobility innovations, adjacent market news and matters of mobility market development.  Complete details to be announced in early September.

For now, your action list is as follows:

  • Submit your initial ideas or the SATELLITE 2017 Mobility Track (and other tracks) to Access Intelligence online by August 15 by clicking here.
  • Stay tuned for a second call for Mobility Track proposals to be released by MSUA in September.  Information will be communicated via Mobility News and direct to MSUA members.  Make sure everyone on your team is signed up to receive Mobility News by clicking here.
  • For those of you involved in mobility satellite services and products but not a member of MSUA, join now and participate in the planning for SATELLITE 2017.  Click here for more details.
Look to next week's Mobility News for information about MSUA's upcoming new website!

Thank you and on to Mobility News!

Moving forward. Smarter together.
