IT'S SUMMER TIME, which means we have some updates for you!

The school year ended in June with a blizzard of festivities and events, before the students left for the summer vacation. We are here to keep you in the loop! In this electronic newsletter edition you will find stories and reports about almost everything which has happened in the past month.
It is worth keeping in mind that not all of our students are going to visit their families in the summer; in fact, about 60 of them are going to stay here, in our beautiful village, which is their true and only home.

Music Program Concert
Please turn on your speakers and listen to our amazing Yuli Bress playing the piano at the Music Program Concert here in the village! The performances also featured the guitar band, violins, vocals, and many more. These young talented musicians participate in a special Music Excellency Program  conducted by the village and the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance.

A Trip to Tbilisi, Georgia
The talented dancers of the village were invited to perform in Tbilisi, Georgia at an international festival for young dancers. For one of the students, A., the desicion to go to Georgia was especially hard, as her mother, who is a single parent, was hospitalized due to a serious ilness. After deliberations, A. finally decided to join her dance troupe for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform abroad and we are certainly happy for this decision, as the village and the State of Israel was represented in the best way possible at this festival.
Simply the Best
On the last day of school, the outstanding students received Diplomas of Excellency. This year, the number of Dean's List-ers was impressive, as the school puts a great emphasis on excellency in education.
Modern Fairy Tales
The central theme of the play performed by the 7th graders of the village majoring in theater was "How would fairy tale characters look if they were living today". Modern interpretation of classical tales such as 'Snow White' and 'The Sleeping Beauty' allowed the students to connect to the story and its moral and encouraged them to express themselves creatively.
The Supremes
The Debate Club of the Village visited the Supreme Court of Israel.
Our young orators learned about the role of the Supreme Court in the Israeli Justice System and heard first hand stories about famous cases from past years. They even had the chance to witness a current criminal case in the courtroom!
