America is an amazing country!

As COVID-19 began to spread throughout our land, we began to see what other generations have witnessed during crisis:  Americans rising to the occasion and banding together to help one another.

Compliance Anchor, who services financial institutions in over 14 states, has observed an entire army of clients pull together resources in their financial institutions and coordinate with other financial institutions to help those in need. Whether it has been the countless hours involved in getting government stimulus money distributed or sharing thoughts, ideas and resources with other institutions, it has been incredible to watch.

Compliance Anchor received an email asking what others are doing in preparation of re-opening their branches to customer traffic. Gary Iorfido, one of our Compliance Anchor trainers, was focused on the changing regulatory issuance's.  He lead the coordination of offering online sessions, through Compliance Anchor, to explain the updates to members and non-members alike.  Extra logins had been extended to accommodate the massive volume of people working from home.  These sessions, however, were not addressing the security issues surrounding the re-opening of individual branches.   

Realizing this enormous need, Compliance Anchor extended an invitation to our network regarding security issues surrounding re-opening branches.  Within a day, several of our member Security Officers were sharing with us the preparations that were being taken in their financial institutions. One Compliance Anchor member even reached out to a state bankers’ group president who was able to connect us with a security firm willing to share their insights.

Within a week, there was a free, scheduled session on BSA, Security and Fraud.  The discussion included experts in each area, sharing best practices on how to handle customers wearing mandatory masks, robbery prevention, customer identification, social distancing and fraud concerns.

It was incredible to have everyone working together, sharing ideas and resources, along side law enforcement contacts willing to share their insights. Compliance Anchor recorded this session and a link is provided here: https://www.complianceanchor.com/specialized-training/covid-19-resources

This is just another exemplary snapshot of resiliency in business during these unprecedented times.
