Featuring Gabe Zecevic, Bella Remington, Mae O'Flynn, and Joe Stewart-Richardson as the four Pevensie children evacuated from London during the WWII blitz on the city. They are welcomed into the Professor's home in the country, and while exploring their new surroundings, Lucy stumbles across a wardrobe, a gateway to another world, and their adventure begins.

Our young heroes are supported on stage by Alfie Walker, Martin Sanders, Blake Selmes, Erin Williams, Alecia Walker, Matilda Deng, Courtney McKenzie, Steph Warden, Harrison Treble, Brian Hill, Selena Bates, Alyia and Jacob Blay, Madi and Savi Burkitt, Samantha Walshe, Axel Wellings, and Zoe White.
Original music and songs have been created by Marianne Powles, special effects and projections by Blake Selmes, soundscapes by Steve Routley and Jack Bell, and lights by Ben Pik, operated by Callum Weston. Our intrepid stage crew of Rangii Paerau, Ella Stewart-Richardson, and Dan Sanders are under the watchful eye of Ceilidh Newbury (welcome home!) and amazing costumes have been designed and created by Helena Bozetto, assisted by Pauline J Mullen and Christine Bentley.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will be our final show for the year. We hope you enjoy taking part in the magic, the joy, and the wonder of this very special performance suitable for the whole family.

Periphery
Wow! We really can't believe what happened!
Suddenly, out of the blue, four highly creative and amazing visitors from Poland arrived into our community and blew us all away. Amazing things happened. Amazing friendships were made. Amazing performances appeared and disappeared. Amazing food was consumed. AND the VODKA!!
An enormous THANK YOU must go out to EVERYONE involved, who took part in the organising and running of the week and Festival Conference weekend - the hosts, drivers, sponsors, contributors, performers, crews, cooks, participants, and everyone else behind and in front of this massive wonderful bulldozer that rolled us all into a new world.

Periphery was about change, about being inspired and renewed, and now there is an exciting new energy in our Company that is driving us forward.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported this special event. And for those who managed to meet and work with Daniel, Jenny, Ola, and Patryk, and who had the opportunity to listen to and share in their stories from afar - remember Ola's remarks about her experience "it was like honey on my heart". We will never forget.
Maybe this is the beginning of something magical...
Drama Classes are currently on hold while Jock McLean is away. They will resume later in November for the remainder of the term when Jock returns.

From the President...

Well that was a bit of a whirlwind! I'm referring, of course, to the amazing Periphery weekend, and before that, the very relevant season of The Touch of Silk. The latter rang so true locally as the drought perseveres - hand feeding cattle every two days married well to wondering on stage when the rain would come - and it was tantalising and frustrating to hear that blast of thunder and rain at the end of the play, but never hear, see of feel the same outside.
Periphery was amazing because our guests were so delightful, both as human beings and as performers, and our own Lieder people were so warm in their hearty welcome and generous hospitality. As they say, a good time was had by all. And many, many thanks to all involved.
Another thing that Periphery did was to show that we are up there with the best as far as community inspired theatre goes, and as far as inventive responses to community theatre goes. We didn't invite the big guns; we were the big guns.
Hopefully a number of collaborations around the region will come out of Periphery.
In the meantime, we look forward to the magic of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe opening on 21 November - and that should not be missed.
