The Lieder Theatre Company
Teatr Brama Poland
Examining theatre as a tool for social change.
19-21 October 2018
The Lieder Theatre is proud and excited to be hosting Periphery - a weekend of workshops, discussions, and networking, culminating in some amazing performances.
Periphery will examine theatre as a tool for social change through the shared experiences of a broad range of community organisations, theatre practitioners, and interested individuals.
It is also our pleasure to be hosting a team of special guests from Teatr Brama in Poland, who are experts in Social Community Theatre, and will share with us their experiences as a partner of Caravan Next. They will be staying with us in Goulburn from approximately 15-23 October.
As our program is starting to take shape, and the arrival date of our Polish guests is getting closer, we are looking at ways to showcase our wonderful theatre company and to create opportunities for people to be involved.
We need your help!
Some of the ways we may need assistance are:
Hosts - would you be willing to host some of our Polish guests in your home for approximately one week?
Catering - contributions towards shared lunches and evening meals, slices and sandwiches or other light refreshments, beverages to share with our Polish guests, a catering coordinator
Transport - to and from Sydney airport, around Goulburn, or for some small tourist adventures. We are also potentially in need of a small van for group activities.
Front of House - meet and greet, checking tickets, providing general information, 'runners' (for when we forget something really important, like real coffee!)
Cleaning - vacuuming, washing up etc.
Polish Speakers - do you speak Polish, and would you be willing to chat with our guests and help with translating?
Tech Crew - operating a projector, backstage crew, assisting with tech set up and general technical operation etc.
If you think you might be able to assist (even in a small way) in one of these areas, or you are keen to be involved in other ways, please contact Amelia Whalley-Routley via Facebook, on 0403 217 120 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We're looking forward to seeing you at Periphery!
