Thank you for joining us in prayer this week.  We acknowledge together that God is greater, that he is our hope and comfort and that he reigns over all things.

We are celebrating the success of our Form 4 High School students who produced our best High School results ever. Our school has some of the most disadvantaged students in our community, we are a Day School and not a Boarding School, and yet the combined efforts of our students, their teachers and the faithfulness of a good, good Father made our school finish the year in position one out of eleven schools in the zone - and in position three out of forty-three in our district. All things really are possible with our God!
Right now we still have the freedom in both schools, to very openly share our faith and to take lots of opportunities to share a Biblical world view in many different contexts. Some of the young people who have come through our home and/or through our schools have made their decisions and come to faith in Christ. Others have been more resistant, less willing to trust anyone and more easily tempted by their unbelieving peers and/or exploited by older people in the community.  This year we need to equip and strengthen more of our young disciples to be the vessels that will be able to reach their peers through good relationships and strong friendships. We all need to make a greater commitment to spend time in prayer so that everything we say and do is motivated by love and we learn to love one another well/better … including and especially those still outside of God’s family.

At the end of December, our dear friend and colleague Bobbie retired from her role within Elim Missions.

During the last 8-9 years Bobbie has been working as our Elim Global Administrator and has travelled the world on behalf of Elim Missions to serve, connect, build relationships and to minister to our Elim Missionaries and Elim Global Partners. For her service and work,  we are so thankful to Bobbie as she leaves a great foundation which we will continue to build on. Also, not forgetting that 50 years ago, Bobbie herself was commissioned to go to Malawi, as a Missionary, and in the years that followed, served as a missionary in Zimbabwe and Hong Kong.

Please will you join with us as we prayer for Bobbie, that in the months and years that lie ahead, as she concentrates on spending more time with her family and continues to be involved in the missions work at her home church in Ballymena, that God will bless her as she continues to serve Him.

Howard and Sue Coley are ordained Elim UK ministers who have been living and working in Spain for the last thirty years. They planted and pastor a bilingual church in Benalmadena and as the president and secretary of Elim España’s National Leadership Team, they have responsibility for all the Elim churches in Spain. They also broadcast the gospel message with their own weekly TV and radio programmes.

Prayer points:

  • That God would give them wisdom as they lead the Elim work throughout the nation.
  • That they would see a greater breakthrough with the gospel into the Spanish population.
  • That the Holy Spirit would give them the right words to say in their TV and radio programmes and that they would bear much fruit for the kingdom.
  • That God would continue to strengthen them through the ups and downs of building His Kingdom in this dry and almost forgotten land.
  • Pray that the project they are working on for a mission post/house of praise will continue on schedule.
