10/11/2019 - 16/11/2019

Thank you for joining us in prayer this week.  We acknowledge together that God is greater, that he is our hope and comfort and that he reigns over all things.

SIAN DAVIES - UGANDA

Celebrations:
- The incredible encouragement and support from my local church, friends and family and Elim Missions as I stepped in to ministry full time.
- Recently secured 6.9 acres of land after months of fundraising, searching and legal negotiations. This is a fantastic step for the ministry and a new chapter for us.

Challenges:
- General settling in and finding a new rhythm between Uganda and U.K.
- Spiritual attack and resistance to the faith steps.

JACKIE GRIFFITHS - MALAWI

Celebrations:
- The success of the recent Women’s Conference where 309 women came from 10 different regions.  The teaching by Bobbie, myself and some of the other national leaders was well received.  On the final morning Bertha Yakwe was appointed the National Chairlady for the women’s work.  Bertha travels with me and is not only my interpreter but we are very much co-workers.  She is a gifted young lady and prayers are appreciated for her as she takes up this new role to further develop the women’s ministry.

Challenges:
- The political situation.  Since the elections in May 2019 there has been some unrest in the country with demonstrations taking place in the cities.   Pray for peace.
- This weekend the two GS’s of Malawi and Mozambique are going to Beira, Mozambique to bring encouragement and assistance to those who were affected by Cyclone Idai earlier in the year.  Beira was the epicentre of the cyclone.  Pray for safe travel and a fruitful visit.  Give thanks for the good relationship between these two countries who are working together to strengthen the churches.

BURKINA FASO: A VERY SAD WEEK

Please pray for Burkina Faso.  Our Elim worker shares that the country is deeply challenged and this week there have been terrorist attacks that have caused many deaths.

- Earlier this week a Member of Parliament and also Mayor of the Province of Djibo in the north was assassinated along with 3 other people in his car.

- Sadly, today 37 people were killed and 60 people wounded in a single attack in the east.

- Pray for God's provision for food and shelter for the internally displaced people and also for those coming to seek refuge at Jam Tan.
