The Holidays are almost here! And with the excitement of the season comes added pressure for everyone, especially young people.

The glowmedia project helps young people develop the emotional agility needed to overcome adolescent pressures and thrive. Using the power of film, we’re creating an environment for teens to see and discuss mental health in ways that makes sense to them.

We’re making a difference.

In just two years, more than 600,000 students have watched glowmedia short films in 3,000 classrooms nationwide, free of charge.

Using film, music and a fresh approach that appeals to today’s kids, glowmedia’s films and accompanying education guides provide teachers and others with a new, relatable way to understand and address mental health, while tackling subject matter such as stress and anxiety, eating disorders, sexuality, drugs and alcohol, and more. The films have been approved for showing in some of the nation’s largest school districts—including classrooms in the Los Angeles Unified School District, Montgomery County, Md., and Washington, DC.

And now, your help is urgently needed. Please consider supporting our next film  – King of the World. This film will focus on bipolar disorder, which causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. Our aim is to produce and share The King of the World film along with educational resources that will enhance kids’ lives. This film, like all of our films, speaks to all kids—those struggling with stress, mental health, sexuality, or substance abuse, and those kids who find themselves in support roles for friends and family.

We know you’ll find these free videos to be a valuable addition to your curriculum. With your help, kids will have the opportunity to review them with adults they trust and talk about reactions.
