Dear masters swimmer,

MSA Mental Health Awareness Month in May is quickly approaching and we are thrilled to be supporting the Black Dog Institute in 2021.

This Sunday 2 May at 2pm (AEST) please join us for a free presentation of ‘Breaking Down Depression’ about mental health and wellbeing. The presenter will share their lived experience with mental illness and provide insights on signs and symptoms of mental illness, when and where to seek help, and practical strategies for helping a friend or family member.

Register NOW.

How YOU and your CLUB can get involved?
MSA as a swimming community will come together and fundraise throughout May.
Join us anytime in May or plan something for the weekend of the 15-16 May to fundraise for Black Dog Institute or any other chosen mental health charity.

Register your fundraising activity HERE

Need some fundrasing inspiration - maybe as a club with gold coin donations or other donations for participation you could hold:

  • Club BBQ/picnic with novelty races (e.g., sack races, spoon races)
  • Club novelty swim event morning (e.g., noodle races, or water polo/basketball competitions)
  • Skins event training (e.g., knock out race training)
Checkout some more ideas HERE

Remember to send in and share your ideas and photos/videos with us to post on our webpage and our social pages.

You can also buy a limited edition of Mental Health Awareness swimming caps until stock lasts. Be sure to grab your bright yellow cap at the great price of $17.50 (inc postage) and know you are supporting the Black Dog Institute and MSA Mental Health Awareness Month.

Stay tuned for more information about MSA Mental Health Awareness Month, some fundraising opportunities and ways you and your club can get involved.
