Fall Events

On Aug 29, our Fall Orientation was kickstarted by Shalini Suresh, our volunteer coordinator, who presented on the key aspects to anticipate with remote delivery of skills development programs to both our students and volunteers.

On Oct 4, the Arts and Crafts Small Business Unit invited guest artists Purvi Shah and Tanisha to teach us art with watercolors on canvas. The class was packed and the students loved learning new techniques from Tanisha.

On Dec 5, students from Scratch Programming class participated in Hour Of Code with Aditi Phatak from Kids Love Coding guiding our students through the class. It was a fantastic experience for our students to participate alongside millions of other coders around the globe.

Training in Person Centered Thinking Training and more..

As Person centered practices are at the heart of our work, Inclusive World offered training to all the program leads with a view to educate and empower them. These trainings were given by TLCPCP certified trainer Trudy Grable. Our committed program leads dedicated their early Saturday mornings for 8 weeks, from Oct 17 through Dec 12, to ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of person-centered values.

In September, the Person Centered Services Team developed One Page Profiles (OPP) to help enable a better experience in our program sessions. In December, Inclusive World conducted its first Person-centered reviews which are designed to understand how an individual has evolved so their one page profile can be updated accordingly.
