Community ID Program
The Community ID card program continues to operate on an appointment basis. Those needing a verifiable ID can come to Saturday morning sessions, now being held twice/month. The next one is this coming Saturday, Jan. 9. NOTE: applicants need to call in advance and make an appointment, and learn the documents that are required. The attached fliers (both English and Spanish) have all the specifics.
Also, the driver privilege cards that were approved by the General Assembly for those who aren’t eligible for the regular drivers licenses will also provide verifiable ID, but there is a 3-month wait to get appointments at the DMV, and some undocumented people won't choose to sign up for these cards. So the Community ID program will continue.

COVID-19 Drive-Through Testing Sites:
The Blue Ridge Health District’s January COVID-19 testing schedule is located HERE.
Testing flyers can be accessed HERE.
In order to increase COVID testing capacity, they will begin partnering with the Virginia National Guard in January. Their policies require individuals be at least 16 years old to receive COVID-19 testing. Anyone under the age of 16 should plan to attend UVA testing events, contact their pediatrician, or visit BRHD's website for other testing resources. BRHD is continuing to explore options to ensure testing resources remain available. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the COVID Resource Hotline: 434-972-6261.
