"Month of the Military Diver" STEM Event
TechFarms CEO Delivers Keynote Address
“The Month of the Military Diver is basically an educational outreach just to let local area students get some exposure to the type of work that we do and the availabilities that are out there that relate to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM),” said Navy Diver 1st Class Jason Myers, this year’s event organizer. The visits allow students to see the technology used and developed on base by tenant units including the Naval Experimental Dive Unit (NEDU), the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC), the base fire department, Naval Surface Warfare Command Panama City Division. Outside organizations such as TechFarms also participate.

FSU-PC and Gulf Coast State College Participate in 2019 International RoboBoat Competition
Students from FSU-PC and Gulf Coast State College have teamed up to enter this year’s International RoboBoat competition event being held June 17- 23, 2019 at the Reed Canal Park, South Daytona, FL. TechFarms tenant, Branch Networks, was also again selected to deploy the network to provide
Wi-Fi coverage for the event organizers and participants.
The annual event is open to middle school, high school, undergraduate, and graduate students worldwide. We’ll have a complete review of this year’s event in our July newsletter.
