You know how to tell the
difference between these, right?

On Saturday, January 26 HeightsNEXT has been asked to assist people in making a serious decision. Where to put their refuse. Will you join us for an hour (or more) on Saturday, January 26 from 12 - 3pm at Silver Lake Beach? We need YOU to stand and watch over a few receptacles and help others learn what they can recycle, compost or throw away.

Where will this happen you ask?  At the Fire and Ice Plunge fundraiser for SACA . SACA is one of our community partners and when they need help we help!

Great news about this years' plunge. For the first time, there will be compostable products and receptacles. The only way we can make sure everyone will keep valuable compostable materials and recycling out of the landfill is to have some guides to assist people on how to handle their refuse. Even if you can only come for an hour, we need you. Sign-up shifts are one hour long.

Oh yeah, if you haven't been to this before - this is a fun event. Watch people jump in icy Silver Lake, heck you can jump too ($40 donation)! There will be food and beer for sale, a dance party, hilarious costumes. It's a big party and all the money raised feeds families. A great reason to get out!
