MARCH 2017

Great Plains Theatre Conference just announced the plays they will present this May and I am so thrilled that my play THE NET WILL APPEAR is on that list. They chose under 30 plays from over 800 submissions. This will be a great opportunity for me to get more quality feedback on the play before it premieres this fall at Mile Square Theatre. GPTC and Omaha are near and dear to my heart after I spent three conferences there as an actor and met some of my greatest friends and collaborators. I couldn't be happier to return this year as a playwright. More information soon!

The Collective NY is heading down south to Coastal Carolina University for its Cultural Arts Fest to perform SIX Collective:10 plays from March 17th-18th. Two of the six plays are written by yours truly: THICK GNAT HANDS (C:10 volume 3) and ZERO EFS (C:10 volume 4). Cast includes: Mike Houston (Orange Is The New Black, Sneaky Pete), Kevin Kane (Trainwreck, Chicago P.D.), Emma Canalese (Thursday's Fictions), Robert Z Grant (Inside Amy Schumer, 42 Seconds of Happiness), Brandon T. Snider (Inside Amy Schumer), KC Karen Chamberlain (Trainwreck, Blink), Ross DeGraw (Veep), and Lacy Marie Meyer (Suck It Up Buttercup). Tickets and more details here

Thank you to the wonderful people of Writers Theatre of NJ for another great work session for my play THE OTHER WHITE MEAT. This was the second of four developmental readings we are having over the course of the year as part of the NJ Women Playwrights Project. John Pietrowski is an amazing champion of playwrights and I feel so lucky to be in such great company.

Now for a recommendation for a show/artist that I love. This month's shout out is for FIVE SESSIONS which features my friend Juan Francisco Villa. Written by Jaime Estades, Directed by Eddie Torres with a cast that includes Fawn Johnston (Steppenwolf Broadway production of August Osage County), Brett Singer (BADA grad), Kyle Glenn (Comedy Sportz) and Juan. Stage Managed by G.V. Maldonado (BAM).

Tickets Here.  Running Fridays to Sundays until March 26.

As always, I'll leave you with some new audiobook releases (click on the photos for audio samples). These three books couldn't be more different: a girl in love with a bad-boy fighter from Ireland, the conclusion of a 3-book series on genies at war and a woman struggling with epilepsy who finds herself in some serious trouble with her psychotic boss. Enjoy!:)

Love and Thanks!
