19 TASKS AS OF JUNE 26, 2016

We typically have completed 35-40 tasks by the end of June. Perhaps 19 tasks is simply an anomaly, but we like to believe that our Adventuresmart education programs that we’ve been delivering over the years are paying dividends!

Each month our members engage in an incredible array of training activities. Some highlights from June include:

Re-certification for HETS/CDFL members with Talon Helicopters.
Annual hover entry and hover exit training with Valley Helicopters.
Our MITs had their helicopter familiarization evenings at Valley Helicopters, and for some of our recruits it was their first-ever flight!
Watercraft training sessions with our jet boats and jet skis. We also added two new jet boat operators after they completed their weekend of training with an expert operator (Chilliwack SAR Resource Member) from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO).
Several trips on the Chilliwack River to hone rafting, kayaking and swiftwater rescue skills.
