- August -

In February of this year I mentioned to Ann to prepare for a busy year of workshops and activity in the gallery. After my workshops in Houston and Reno, we planned for a completely filled workshop in Alaska, then to Wisconsin, and several other places, and then to our well-attended workshop in Switzerland.

Then, like many other businesses affected by the pandemic, our gallery was closed and the workshops cancelled for the rest of the year, and possibly into 2021. However, our gallery is now open and we are developing a procedure to make it easier for our collectors to collect paintings online.

In the meantime, Ann thought we should consider doing Zoom classes, workshops, and paint-alongs; what a nice opportunity this has turned out to be! I get to work with students that I sometimes see only once every several years, my instruction can be of greater depth with a slower pace, there is opportunity for camaraderie, and best of all: the students are seeing improvement in their paintings!

It is a real joy to be able to welcome to our home students from as far away as Alaska and Morocco via Zoom--all sharing the same joy of painting watercolors.

Students can join at any time and can be of any level; I am seeing great improvement in all levels including beginners. (Beginners can be great students as they may have few problems to unravel.)

At the beginning of each month we accept new painters, so if you think you would like to learn how to paint watercolors, but have never had the time or found a way to do it— this shutdown may be just the opportunity for you to try it with us. Come join the fun!  Go to my website for more details.

Stay healthy!

Now that we're all spending more time inside, what a great time to bring a beautiful new work of art into our homes! We want to do whatever we can to accommodate those who understandably may not be able to make it into the gallery in person to see what's new.

We are displaying more of Eric's original paintings on the gallery website, which now showcases a wider range of his work, including some of his smaller originals.

Eric is also offering a personalized gallery tour via Zoom. As Eric takes you on a virtual walk around the gallery, feel free to ask questions about anything that catches your eye. Call the gallery to arrange a time.

One more thing: Through September 30th, we are offering free shipping on online orders of any original painting over $750! Use coupon code freeshipping at checkout.

We would love to hear from you about what else we could do to enhance your virtual gallery experience. Please send an email to and let us know what you think.
