Safety, Graffiti and Crime Prevention Workshop:

Downtown Brampton business owners and property owners are invited to discuss community safety and crime prevention on Monday May 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM, in partnership with the Peel Regional Police Downtown Patrol Team, and the Peel Regional Police Crime Prevention Unit as well as the City of Brampton Corporate Security Management Team. This workshop will entail an overview of safety, graffiti and crime issues in the downtown core as well as an opportunity for local business to discuss concerns that they have and/or that they have been experiencing. The Downtown Brampton staff and BIA board of directors invite you to attend the 2017 Annual General Meeting.The participation of each valued member of the Downtown Brampton BIA is important. Strategic Planning Workshop:

The DBBIA board of directors are currently working on a new Strategic Plan for Downtown Brampton in 2017 to 2020. We invite all interested BIA members to attend this workshop to help us shape the direction and initiatives for the DBBIA board of directors, staff and committees.
Downtown Streetscaping Improvements, Public Information Meeting:

The study is being undertaken as a Schedule “C” process in coordination with the Region of Peel’s Downtown Brampton Capital Project Phase 1, and in accordance with the planning and design process as outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) document (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. A key component of the study is consultation with stakeholders. The first PIC was held on February 23, 2017 to present the stakeholders with a number of alternative solutions. The preferred alternative solution has been finalized considering comments from stakeholders. The second PIC will present the preferred alternative design for input from stakeholders.Anyone with an interest in this study is invited to attend and participate.
