This week marked the 2017 edition of the Game Developer Conference, held in San Francisco. One of the biggest developments to come out of this conference is the unveiling of a new version of EPIC Game's Unreal game engine. Their new suite of developer tools make it easier than ever for game developers to build dope new worlds. EPIC revealed at the conference that Hollywood is using their tech, with their motion capture and rendering already being used in movies like Star Wars: Rogue One. Turns out your favorite movies might look a lot like your favorite video games soon!

Your VR dreams just got a little bit closer. Oculus recently announced that they are slashing prices on their Rift Headset and Touch controller. The Headset will now sell for $499 and the Touch controllers for $99, when they each used to cost a $100 more per item. Oculus executives found that price was the number one reason potential users weren't buying the system, so they decided to lower the price in order to push the future of VR forward. Well their profit loss is your gain, so go ahead and pick up a set now.
