What Are You Reading?
Experts claim in order to be a better writer, you have to be good reader.

Famed novelist Stephen King says, "If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot." King reportedly takes a book with him everywhere he goes, and even reads during meals.

I try to read at bedtime or on Sunday afternoons. I came across these interesting facts about reading.

Top 10 Statistics on Reading
  • Reading can reduce stress levels by a whopping 68%.
  • Reading 30 minutes a day may prolong your life span by two years.
  • The average reading speed is 238 words per minute (wpm).
  • Kids aged 6–8 read on average 19 books during the summer holidays. However, summer reading statistics demonstrate a decline in older age groups. Children aged 15-17 only read two books during their summer holidays.
  • Bill Gates reads 50 books a year.
  • Digital edition sales increased by  20.4% in 2020.
  • 51% of teenagers read for pleasure once a week.
  • Bread cookbooks sales increased by 145% during the pandemic.
  • 16% of romance novel readers are men.                                                                                                                 -- source:

Look For My New Release

Every killer makes a mistake, right?

Investigators hope that's the case with Don Malvado's murder.

There's no weapon. No fingerprints. Every lead is a dead end. Someone is trying to get away with murder.

Police like his mentally and emotionally abused wife for the crime, but they can't prove it.
Emma Hunter's tyrannical brother deserved to die, even if the manner of his death was horror-movie gruesome. As a police lieutenant, she's duty bound to
provide whatever assistance she can, but what she knows can cost her everything she values — her career, her reputation, even her freedom.

My new suspense novel takes you into the courtroom with a whodunnit twist.
It's available in print and electronically on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
