New merchants at Brush Factory on Kings

Artisan merchants Big Joe’s Honey, Sopra della bala, and Soberdough Breads join local favorites Ray’s Produce and Swell Joe Coffee.

Big Joe’s Honey is a small family-owned apiary located in Wyoming, Delaware. Its mission is to live in the presence of nature, and to inspire local and global communities into a shared respect for the same. The Big Joe’s team hand-raises its bees, practicing natural healthy hive management, which in turn helps protect the environment’s sustainability.

Late October brought the audience to the Utah kitchen of Erin Renouf Mylroie, whose new cookbook is “101 Greatest Cookies on the Planet.”

From the outset, Erin did things a little differently from most traditional recipe instructions. To start, instead of reaching for a handheld mixer, she used the back of a wooden spoon to mash softened butter.

Fritz Schranck pens cocktail recipe book

The COVID-19 pandemic has been hugely disruptive to daily life – but that didn't mean the fun was over, according to Fritz Schranck in his new eBook, “Quarantinis: Easy and Fun Cocktails for When You’re Stuck at Home.”

When pandemic restrictions shut down restaurant dining and entertainment options in the Cape Region, Schranck began making cocktails at home. As Official Taster, his wife Susan rates them in what has become a continuing series on his Facebook page.
